Pro -am has Marcum LX-3tc in stock. I have my Marcum for three years now and I use it year round on ice and in my boat. It has bounced around in my sled behind my snowmobile a few times and has even been dropped once on the floor of my garage too. It still works fine and no problems to report.

you can't get a "good" falsher at an "affordable price unless you find someone who is loosing their mind or find a super rare deal or looking to sacrifice options. Take the plunge and spend the money on the top of the line, hummingbird, marcum or vexilar and I guarantee you won't be dissapointed _________________ " A great day fish'in is better than a bad day fish'in, what's work got to do with it? i highly recommend the Lx3tc as previously mentioned. Great unit, variable zoom, good target separation and best of all you can fish right beside a vex or another marcum and get next to zero interference.. not the case with vex!!! _________________

Ahh .... Never mind these Marcum guys.
Go with the Humminbird Ice 35 excellent unit...It has a dual beam transducer, excellent zoom feature "which you will end up using all the time" Bigger screen then the other brands.....much bigger screen.
Best thing to do is go to Bob at Pro Am and he will fill you in on the flashers himself...he is very knowledgeable. _________________ WHERE THERE'S FISH......I'LL BE THERE!!! |

My marcum Lx-5 ROCKS baby...you would have to give me a free hummingbird to make me switch...and I would let my friends use the hummingbird... _________________ " A great day fish'in is better than a bad day fish'in, what's work got to do with it? " Catfishhunter. |

That is a tough question to answer without knowing what your budget is. I know not everyone can justify popping over 5 bills for a fishing toy. I run with 2 high end flashers myself from Marcum and Humminbird, but Vexilars are time tested and proven to be durable units and I learned how to use a flasher with my friends old FL-8 and they all work very well.
There are good deals to be had in the used market but you have to be ready to jump on those right away.
Other things to consider are deals found online, and even check out Vexilars site for deals on refurbished units.
Another sugestion is to talk to Bob at Pro-Am. He is the man there and is very personable with all of his customers. He sells enough flashers to folks who may be upgrading and wanting to sell their old ones and point you in that direction. _________________ TRIPLE BBB

I do believe that a marcum will cause all kinds of interferance on a vex if close by, but the marcum can block out any interference that comes from the vex...
I believe this has been tested and proven to be true by many anglers.
I believe the hummingbird has no issues with either of the other 2 flashers _________________ " A great day fish'in is better than a bad day fish'in, what's work got to do with it? " Catfishhunter. |

Okay now tiger, no need to get all hot headed. Sounds to me like you're one of those ancient anglers with the old 'ain't broke don't fix it' attitude.. Either that or you just dumped your life savings into vexilar shares.. Trust me, i've done my HOMEWORK and then some..
I was just trying to help a fellow angler out and get him his best bang for his buck from what i've used, experienced, and delt with and in my opinion, marcum has by far the more superior product dollar for dollar.
That's just coming from a young pup from that technology generations perspective..
But what do i know.. And what do Andy and Don know! _________________

Ran an Fl-18 for about 4 years, sold it. Great unit, but don't fish beside any Marcums or you mine as well turn it off. Not sure how you avoided this L8fisher. Maybe it was so long ago Marcums were not around |

fish beside a marcum every trip, never had an issue. Neil not sure your angle, I've owned an FL 18 for 10 yrs fished beside a LX-5 for 5 yrs no issues.
tiger eh! Justin I'm 43 as of last Monday and have been fishing longer that you've been alive, think about that one. |
